What are safe EGT #'s for a 2005?

I installed the probe on the turbo just before the turbine, so in between the manifold and turbine wheel. I know I'll get higher readings there than after the turbo, but I wanted readings that indicated what the pistons and turbine were seeing. What are good numbers there? I've noticed if you are lugging up a grade while towing the EGT's will climb well beyond 1200. I have had to downshift to get them to lower....

1250* is a safe high temp I have read and use for my upper limit. Although you can read about guys hitting 1400* + for short durations.
