    Udc pro rt cable touch

Brian, Do you know where i can get the correct cable for the touch so i can use the real time tuning? Ah64id is currently writing udc pro tunes for my truck and since pod doesn't work with it I'm thinking i might need to be able to switch between tunes without having to reprogram ecm. Thanks

    Udc pro rt cable touch

I was sold a udc pro rt cable for mm3 instead of for my touch, it's brand new and I'm looking to trade it for a touch cable if anyone is interested.

I have everything checked and back together and here's what I found, the plastic cover was a lil loose making some noise and the valve cover was actually hanging off to the exhaust side, checked intake and exhaust valves at .010 and .020 and there was less than .001 diffrence in all of them, the chirp is gone so I'm assuming that the spring in the valve cover was rubbing on valve spring or rocker, i reprogrammed the touch to lld=stock hld=stock llrp=stock hlrp=stock llt=25 hlt=30, idles smooth and less rattle than with stock injectors and cp3 with the same timing, i hooked up air to my afe wastegate and it's starting to open at 20psi again this is the 3rd one to start creeping open early it's supposed to be good till 50psi but so far they all have had issues with creeping after a few months of use so i have a boost controller on the way, my question now is about timing, the shop told me i had to remove llt and hlt with the larger injectors so i changed to llt=20 and hlt=25 and performance rather sucked so i put them back to llt=25 a d hlt=30 and it runs much better with less rattle at idle than stock injectors and cp3 so I'm wondering if i should maybe take hlt=35 and see if it's still happy, my only real concern is that the engine goes from 2800rpm to 4200rpm in a heart beat so would that extra 5 be to big of a jump for 1 pull to find out? Thanks again for your help!

The shop had no ideas on why i lost boost they just said play with the timing, i noticed that after the engine get nice and warm there is a light muffled chirp in the head, injectors are the bosh 2nd revision bodies with 150 hp dap nozzles, high pressure turbo is a he351 with custom exhaust housing and 76mm turbine with a pure turbo billet compressor wheel my atmospheric turbo is a gt45 from on3performance that firepunk sells and they say i should be seeing 70psi of boost, yeah i was thinking i should have done the valves myself but the only charged me $40 to do them but I'll tear it down in the morning and check them.

Ah64id sorry its taken so long to answere with real numbers but i finally got a chance to make a run and check settings so here is.... lld=stock hld=10 lrp=stock hrp=stock llt=23 hlt=30, rail pressure wot=23,632psi, rail pressure does seem lower than before injector install, do you think i should change hld to stock and set hrp to 10?, do you think i should add 5 to hlt? I see your a professional tuner do you have any interest in doing a 100psi map tune after i get these bugs worked out? Thank you for your help!

I should mention that my xp series cp3 pump was installed when i was seeing 55 psi of boost and boost only dropped after injectors and valve adjustment was done.

At stock duration and rail pressure and i dont see any rail pressure drop and if i turn them up a lil bit it sits about 26kish wot and i can smoke out 6 lanes of traffic, rail pressure only fluctuates about 300 psi at idle and stays pegged wot, i forgot to mention that i had the valves adjusted at the same time as injector install, the shop said some were loose and some were tight, yes ssr right now, the shop that did valve adjustment is a dedicated diesel performance shop but mistakes can happen.

Ok so bad news i had a few big jobs cancel due to economy so no dyno tune for awhile which is a real bummer and to top it off im having tuning issues with my new injectors and cp3, was seeing 55 lbs of boost and was maxed out on duration and rp with no smoke at all so i tossed in bigger injectors and an industrial injection xp series 6.7 pump, had to set duration and rail pressure to stock on the low end and duration at 10 and stock rp on the top end, timing low end had to be reduced to 23 and 30 as before at the top end, I've lost 10 psi of boost and i cant find any leaks or any reason my compounds arent laying out the boost like before, idle has just a slight haze and starts turning black almost instantly although it's not thick but it is wasted fuel, at top end there is more black smoke than before but not bad and i can set duration to stock and it should clean up but my confusion is lost boost, lavon millers brother is running the same setup except he is running 300hp nozzles to my 150hp setup and he is running a fleece 10mm stroker cp3 compared to my 12mm stroker and they are getting 70 psi of boost so they think i definitely have an issue, I've gone as far as replacing the turbos and it runs the same, any ideas from you guys? I did install the 100 psi map but it's not connected but I'm open to suggestions including different tuning, thanks again for the help guy's.

I talked with the company this morning and included in the price of tuning they pull the stock file from ecm and just add the 100psi scale to it so thats good. We are going to dyno the truck with stock map sensor and stock ecm tune then dyno my ssr tune with stock map sensor then we will dyno 100psi map sensor with stock tune and finally do a final dyno with 100psi map sensor with mm3 software(im not sure if thats udc, udc pro or what i forgot to ask about that) and one last dyno with 6 100hp methanol nozzels activated, this should give us some real world info on if its worth $114 to put in a 100psi map sensor, i do have an extra wideband O2 kit so maybe I'll toss that in before i go if i have time if not I'll put it in after i get back and post the results, thanks for all your input! Im also getting 19mpg going to and from casper wyoming and denver colorado with loaded trailer, lots of steep grades and high altitude so we will see if mpg improves or decreases.

Thanks hopefully I get to eat lots of bbq? i get 4 tunes so i will request a stock tune for comparison, thanks for mentioning that cause i would have spaced it out.

Its going in to get tuned after i get back from a job in Hawaii, I'll definitely update this thread after it's done and let everyone know if changing was of benefit or if i just blew some extra coin that wasn't necessary. This is why this is the best forum for talking about our diesels, we can discuss things and learn without the attitude ya get in other forums ! Thanks guys for all your input!!

My background is with turbo gassers so i wanted my ecm to be able to see and be able to calculate from 1psi to 100psi for accurate tuning that ranges from racing to hauling heavy loads up n down mountain ranges and elevations and best mpg possible without getting tickets for blasting black smoke in every state i travel through, i understand our trucks are way more forgiving than turbo gassers but im an old fashioned guy so thats why i chose this tuning method as its always been the most reliable for making power with longevity for me, i am in no way saying its the only way to tune nor am i trying to bad mouth anyone who tunes without it, i have not run across anyone running a 100psi map but i do believe its the best overall way and with more states cracking down on the rolling coal it might be the new normal.

So i found a map sensor that's 100 psi from holley for $114 and it's 1/8 npt so that makes the install easy, just talked to chris at calibrated performance and I'll be driving to Illinois to have a mm3 tune done on their mustang dyno, $1300 for mm3 hardware and about $800 for the tune.

Aem make a 100psi 5volt map for $150 but i didnt want to get it until i could get some good tuning feedback, thanks for answering.
