    Good Morning Brian I really did not like how my truck and trailer towed on the swr 3 setting. it shifted different plus the egt seem to run higher as the truck would just lug instead of shifting down

    good morning what i got from Brian and the guys at smarty that default are the best setting for that catch you choose but everybody truck are different some guys like to play around with the settings. I just leave mine on SW3 with default and the pod99 Just quick question you do have the three main gauges in your truck?(EGT tranny Boost) if not get some

    driving this truck not pulling I would get 29-31 mpg imperial driving at 105km with my edge ez chip. I have not drove this truck enough to see what I get with the smarty withal my upgrades. the lie o meter says 9l/100km or 26 us so that close

    thanks for the info I will let you know how I like the new setting. Like I said drove to Denver co and back 5800km round trip(700km was not pulling the trailer) truck work awesome but I thought I would have a little more power and little better fuel mileage with all the mod. but also I was driving 70 mph on the interstates I averaged 12.5-13.8 mpg imperial(not us gal) My last big trip I had done was to rapid city sd. I average 16 mpg imperial 7200km (1200km was not pulling the trailer)that was with a edge ez chip (stock cam and stock turbo and everything else the same mods.

    you guys say black smoke is wasting fuel what should I have the pod set at I got it set at 99 because I like to have the power when I need it or should I change it? default setting on the smarty are the best setting for that catch level you pick don't matter if it SW1 SW2 or SW3 right

    Ok here my story. Summer of 2008 i was on my way to Disney land with my truck and trailer. Got fuel in great fall mt i was climbing the mountain pass just before Helen when i hit the top my truck was knocking.(75000km or 47000miles). Took it to the dodge dealer and the tore it a part and found that 5,6 cylinder was scored.( dealer said bad fuel took two injectors out plus nfg my fuel pump they replaced it with on in the tank under warrant.So i had a new short block put in under warrant.(left the truck and trailer and rent a mini van and keep on going to Disney land.) So with the new motor in thing were good until about 30000-40000km my truck started smoking and using oil.2l every 6000km and smoke like a school girl.(I tryed to get warrant on the short block but the dealer in Helen mt would not talk to me about it.They told me that o ran out of years for any warrenty because i had a 2003 truck they could care less of the mileage on the motor))So i ripped it a part and did a major rebuild and mod. My engine rebuild said that i got a cheap rebuild short block that came from Mexico and they also put two reman injectors. my second motor never broke in.the oil ring had lost it spring pulse the cylinder wall were as smooth as a baby butt.all this truck does is pull my 12k fifthwheel. original motor 78000km/49000miles warranty motor 65000km/40000miles rebuild with mods started History of my truck was all fluid were 100 syn and fuel filter always change at 10000km/6250m(mobile 1 oils) with my rebuild i did the heads too with valve grind and seals hope this make a little sense

    what i have it set at is SW3 and all the defaults for this setting for SW3 when using the default setting is that the best or sure i go and change the timing manual ?
